Sent By God

On Tuesday morning, September 15th, Michelle Azor, a senior at Highland Academy, was going door to door with a group of colporteurs in Springfield, Tennessee. Little did she know that on that morning, she would encounter a “divine appointment”.

While canvassing in an apartment complex, Michelle met an elderly lady with health problems. Immediately she began to show the lady some of her health books. The lady, however, told her they were too much money and she would not give out checks.

Michelle made the transition to her message/spiritual books. She showed the lady Peace Above the Storm. According to Michelle, that was the breaking point. The elderly lady began to pour out her heart, revealing many of the problems she faced. These problems included the death of her 19-year-old son in a freak car accident.

As they looked through Peace Above the Storm, a magabook form of Steps to Christ, the lady noticed that the Bible promises on some of the blue pages were the same ones she had in a picture frame in her living room.

Meanwhile, I had picked up all the other students and we were preparing to finish for that morning. Michelle was the last one working. I was curious to see what was happening so I stepped out of the van and went to the door. Both Michelle and the lady came outside. “Michelle has been a strong comfort for me,” said the lady, “there is no doubt in my mind that she was sent from God.” The lady wrote a check and received Peace Above the Storm and God’s Answers to Your Questions (Bible Readings for the Home).

“It was nice,” said Michelle, “because I hadn't sold any books before that and I was kind of discouraged. But, I think overall it was worth it.”

That day became more that just a normal morning shift. It was truly a “divine appointment”.

Please continue to pray for the Magabook Industry at Highland Academy, that we might walk in the footsteps of Christ and continue to reach these precious souls.
